Castlemaine and Sale Police Complexes Heritage Interpretation

Client: Victoria Police

Location: Sale and Castlemaine, Vic

Completed: 2015

Convergence specialises in the interpretation of heritage buildings and sites. We were commissioned to research, design and fabricate interpretation for two new police stations.

The new Sale Police complex was located on the site of the former Sale Prison and the Castlemaine Police Station was relocated to the site shared by that town’s earliest court house and lock-up and the original Castlemaine Savings Bank. Both sites required graphics and infrastructure that responded to the designs of the new facilities and their heritage constraints.
