Our Practice.

Our projects are founded on an abiding respect for the significance of cultural heritage and artefacts.

Our name, Convergence, signifies our distinctive approach. We solve design problems by ‘converging’ a range of techniques into a layered interpretive architecture based on sound research and principles of visitor engagement.

Convergence Design is a museum development, interpretive planning, and exhibition design consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia.

With over 25 years in the industry, Convergence Design has expertise in project definition, facility and operational planning, project management, exhibition development, design and implementation.

Since 1997 we have had the privilege to work on projects of national significance across Australia and overseas.

Our passion is the development of inspiring visitor experiences through the creative presentation of information and collections.

Our Approach.

The Convergence team brings a high degree of creativity and breadth of experience to projects of all scale. We put the visitor experience at the forefront of our work.

We foster collaborative relationships with our clients and consultants to cultivate a shared understanding of purpose and strategic direction. We use effective communication and project management techniques to set and meet expectations, and to plan and design engaging and inspiring interpretive environments.

Our projects offer tailored solutions that our clients can own and manage.

Our Clients.

Convergence works with major cultural institutions, local, state and federal government, commercial and community based clients.
