Client: Department of Veterans Affairs

Location: Villers-Bretonneux, France

Completed: 2018

True Jews and Patriots was the Jewish Museum of Australia’s response to the Centenary of the First World War. This exhibition, investigated the contributions and legacies of Jews who enlisted. It considered the social context that motivated their participation and the devastating impact of war on the Australian Jewish community, through the stories of people who were there.

Convergence’s design for True Jews and Patriots emphasised the social history of the Great War and showed how Australia’s Jewish community has been shaped by its experience of the events of the war.
