Premier’s Design Award Exhibition

Client: Museums Victoria

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Completed: 2004

In 2004 Jenni Klempfner was employed by Museum Victoria to coordinate the design and installation of the inaugural Design 2004 Exhibition. The exhibition showcased shortlisted multi-disciplinary entries from across the design community in the Inaugural Premier’s Design Award.

It was to be a comprehensive survey of professional Australian design and featured Australia’s richest design prize, the $40,000 Victorian Premier’s Design Award. The exhibition and awards were the centerpiece of the State of Design Festival, Australia’s first design festival.

A major component of the Victorian Government’s design initiative, the State of Design Festival was presented in partnership with Museum Victoria’s ‘designed to inspire program’.
