The Seaford Wetlands or ‘Lowyeeung’ in the Boon Wurrung language form part of the once extensive Carrum Carrum Swamp. Their ecological value is recognised by designation under the Ramsar convention.

Convergence has worked with Frankston City Council, Melbourne Water, BLCAC and DEECA to create a development plan for the delivery of interpretive and wayfinding signage and facilities to support a bio-cultural trail. The development plan identifies opportunities for the delivery of indigenous cultural and ecological values to help visitors understand their significance.

Development plans will be finalised following a community engagement process in February 2023.
