Scienceworks, Museums Victoria’s science and technology campus, opened in 1992 as one of Australia’s first interactive discovery centres. As Director, Design for Museum Victoria, Russell Magee, who subsequently founded Convergence Design, was responsible for exhibition design and delivery throughout the facility. Working under Russell’s leadership, several of Convergence’s design collaborators cut their teeth on the development of hands on interactives for the centre.

Convergence’s managing director, Jenni Klempfner was subsequently responsible for the design, technology and construction of the Planetarium at Scienceworks as it moved into the digital age.
