Creative Paper, Burnie City Council

Client: Burnie City Council Location: Burnie, TAS, Australia Completed: 2007
Convergence developed the exhibits for ‘Creative Paper’, a working paper making facility that has strong links to the community and Burnie’s paper mills. Working with Artas architects based in Launceston Convergence developed a sculptural and highly interactive set of exhibits using multimedia, objects and hands on experiences to tell the ‘Creative Paper’ story. The exhibits were located in the 1929 heritage listed high school building. In April 2007, with construction started, the school building was gutted by fire and the project was put on hold until new funding and siting issues were resolved.
